Its core working principle is to make the dust-laden airflow rotate. With the help of centrifugal force, dust particles are separated from the airflow and captured on the wall of the device, and then fall into the dust hopper under the action of gravity. Under normal operating conditions, the centrifugal force acting on the particles is 5 - 2500 times the gravitational force. Therefore, its efficiency is significantly higher than that of a gravity settling chamber.

· Structure: Composed of two cyclone cylinders, the structure is relatively simple, easy to manufacture, install, and maintain. Both equipment investment and operating costs are relatively low. It may have a bypass separation chamber design, which uses the double-vortex movement to improve the separation efficiency of fine particles.
· Performance: It has a relatively high dust removal efficiency. For eligible dust, the efficiency can usually reach over 90%, and even up to 95%. The equipment resistance is generally controlled between 500 - 2000 Pa, and the common value is 800 - 1000 Pa.
· Operation and Maintenance: There are no rotating mechanisms or moving parts, so it is convenient to maintain and manage, without high-tech requirements. It belongs to dry ash cleaning, which is beneficial for recovering valuable dust.
· Environmental Adaptability: It can be used for the purification of high-temperature dust-laden gas. Those made of ordinary carbon steel can be used for flue gas purification at 100°C. When lined with refractory and wear-resistant materials, its temperature resistance can reach 500°C or even higher.
· Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for capturing dry, non-fibrous, particulate dust. It is often used for the rough and medium-level purification or pretreatment of dust. When dealing with large air volumes, multiple single cylinders can be combined for use, and the air volume handled by a single cylinder can reach 500 - 50000 m³/h.
Working Principle
After the dust-laden gas enters tangentially from the inlet, the airflow will split up and down to form a double-vortex movement. The dust undergoes a strong separation effect at the boundary of the double-vortex. Coarser dust particles are separated to the outer wall with the downward-vortex airflow. Part of the dust may be led out from the middle hole of the bypass separation chamber, and the remaining dust is carried into the dust hopper by the downward airflow. The upward-vortex airflow can gather finer dust particles, form a dust ring, and then enter the upper hole of the bypass separation chamber. It is introduced into the cone through the return air inlet to merge with the internal airflow. The purified gas is discharged through the exhaust pipe, and the separated dust enters the dust hopper.

· Temperature Resistance: About 100°C for ordinary carbon steel; when lined with wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials (such as refractories), it can reach over 500°C, with good high-temperature resistance.
The double-tube cyclone dust collector is favored in industrial dust removal, especially in scenarios that require pre-dust removal or deal with medium-sized dry dust, due to its compact structure, high efficiency, easy maintenance, high-temperature resistance, and flexible air handling capacity. It is often used as the front stage of a multi-stage dust removal system or independently in occasions where the emission requirements are not extremely strict.
