Its core working principle is to make the dust-laden airflow rotate. With the help of centrifugal force, dust particles are separated from the airflow and collected on the wall of the device, and then fall into the ash hopper under the action of gravity. Under normal operating conditions, the centrifugal force acting on the particles can reach 5 - 2500 times the gravity, so its efficiency is significantly higher than that of the gravity settling chamber.

Simple structure and low cost: easy to manufacture, install, maintain and manage. Both equipment investment and operating costs are relatively low.
Efficient separation: it has a relatively high dust removal efficiency and a good collection effect on particles above 5μm. The efficiency usually reaches over 90%, and even up to 95%.
High-temperature resistance: by using special metals or ceramic materials, or coating a 10 - 20 mm wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant lining on the inner wall, its temperature resistance can be significantly. Those made of ordinary carbon steel can be used for flue gas purification at 100°C, and those lined with refractory materials can even be used for flue gas treatment at up to 450°C or even 500°C.
Prevent secondary dust re-entrainment: many models have a reflecting screen at the bottom of the cone, which can effectively prevent the separated dust from being re-entrained by the secondary airflow.
Flexible treatment air volume range: the treatment air volume range of a single cylinder is relatively wide. Depending on the model, it can range from 500 cubic meters per hour to 50,000 cubic meters per hour, and multiple single cylinders can be combined to meet larger air volume requirements.
