Product Overview
As an important gas-liquid separation device, the baffle plate demister plays an indispensable role in multiple industrial fields.

The baffle plate demister is mainly composed of fixing devices such as corrugated blades, plates, and clips. Its core components include the demister body, deflector, support frame, and cleaning device. The support frame is used to fix the demister body and the deflector to maintain the stability of the entire device. The cleaning device automatically cleans the demister body regularly to ensure its long-term stable operation effect.
The working principle of the baffle plate demister is mainly based on the water film separation principle and the gas-liquid separation principle. The uncollected droplets will be collected with the same effect at the next turning point, thus greatly improving the demisting efficiency.
Design parameters: Demisting efficiency, system pressure drop (usually ≤ 120 Pa), flue gas flow velocity (generally 3.5 - 5.5 m/s), blade spacing, number of stages, flushing interval, etc.
Particle size of treated droplets: It can effectively remove droplets larger than 3 - 5 μm. The removal efficiency of droplets larger than 5 μm generally exceeds 95%.
Installation method: Horizontal installation (flue gas flows vertically) or vertical installation (flue gas flows horizontally). The ridge type arrangement is also a common and efficient arrangement form.
Core advantages: Strong anti-blocking performance (especially suitable for gas phases containing trace solid particles and crystals), large operating flexibility (usually 60 - 120%), relatively low system pressure drop, and strong adaptability.
Application industries: Widely used in wet desulfurization systems (such as the top of desulfurization towers), process gas purification and waste gas treatment in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals.
Differences from wire mesh mist eliminators: A significant advantage of the baffle plate demister is its stronger anti-blocking performance. Especially when dealing with gas-phase media containing trace solid particles or crystals, it is more suitable than wire mesh mist eliminators. Although wire mesh mist eliminators may have higher demisting efficiency in some cases, their pressure drop is usually larger and they are more prone to blockage.
Importance of the flushing system: In order to keep the channels of the baffle plate demister clean, prevent scaling and blockage, and maintain a low system resistance, it is crucial to be equipped with a regular and effective automatic flushing system.
With its high-efficiency separation ability, good anti-blocking characteristics, and low operating resistance, the baffle plate demister has become an indispensable gas-liquid separation equipment in many industrial fields, especially in wet flue gas desulfurization systems.

FAQ
1、What are the core advantages of our baffle demister compared with other types?
① Strong anti - clogging performance: It is particularly suitable for working conditions containing trace solid particles or crystals. It is not prone to scaling and clogging during long - term operation, and the maintenance cost is low.
② Low pressure drop and low energy consumption: The system pressure drop is usually ≤120Pa, with significant energy - saving effects, which helps green production.
③ Wide adaptability and high operating flexibility: It can operate stably within the load range of 60% - 120% and handle fluctuations more calmly.
2、How to prevent the equipment from scaling and clogging? Is manual cleaning required?
Our products are standard equipped with an intelligent automatic flushing system, which can spray and clean at regular intervals according to the set cycle, remove surface deposits, keep the channels unobstructed, and maintain low - resistance operation.
Note: Regular flushing = long - term high efficiency + low failure rate. We recommend setting the flushing frequency according to the actual water quality and working conditions to keep the equipment in the best condition at all times.
3: What parts does your product structure include? Is the quality guaranteed?
Each set of demister is precisely composed of five core components:
Wave-shaped blades (core separation unit)
Support frame (stable bearing)
Deflector (optimizing airflow distribution)
Fixing clamp (anti-seismic and anti-displacement)
Flushing nozzle system (self-cleaning guarantee)
All materials are made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as PP, FRP, stainless steel, etc.) and have undergone strict testing before leaving the factory to ensure a firm structure, accurate dimensions, and up-to-standard performance.
